Terms and Conditions
London Outplacement Limited is a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 12128888) with its registered office at 71–75 Shelton Street, London WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom (“we”, “us”, “our”).
These Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided to corporate clients (“Client”) and nominated employees (“Participant”).
1. Scope of Services
We provide professional outplacement and career transition consultancy services, which may include:
- 1:1 career coaching and strategy
- CV and LinkedIn profile development
- Executive career marketing materials
- Interview preparation
- Job search strategy and market positioning
- Ongoing advisory support
The agreed scope and level of service will be confirmed in writing prior to commencement.
Our services are advisory in nature and do not constitute a guarantee of employment.
2. Duration of Support
Support is provided until the Participant secures a new employed or self-employed professional engagement.
However:
- Support must commence within a reasonable period following termination.
- Where a Participant elects to delay commencement, we must be notified in writing.
If there is a period of inactivity exceeding 3 consecutive months without prior agreement, we reserve the right to review, pause or conclude the engagement.
3. Payment Terms
Our standard terms are:
Fees are payable in advance of commencement unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Where advance payment is not possible, an agreed payment date must be confirmed in writing prior to commencement.
Invoices are payable before commencement unless otherwise agreed in writing.
All fees are exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise.
We reserve the right to suspend services if agreed payment terms are not met.
4. Transferability
Outplacement support is provided to a named Participant.
Once a programme has commenced, it is non-transferable.
Prior to commencement, the Client may request substitution of the nominated Participant, subject to our written agreement.
5. Confidentiality
All discussions with the Participant are confidential.
We will not disclose coaching content to the Client without the Participant’s consent.
However, with discretion and in general terms, we may provide the Client with high-level confirmation of:
- Engagement status
- Attendance
- Progress updates
This ensures appropriate reporting while maintaining the integrity of the coaching relationship.
6. Data Protection
We process personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Personal data is used solely for the delivery of agreed services and will not be shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
7. Intellectual Property
All materials created by us remain our intellectual property.
Participants are granted a personal licence to use materials for their personal career transition purposes.
Materials may not be reproduced, distributed or shared without prior written consent.
8. Cancellations & Rescheduling
Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice may be treated as delivered.
If we are unable to deliver a session due to unforeseen circumstances, it will be rescheduled promptly.
9. Limitation of Liability
We provide services with reasonable skill and care.
We shall not be liable for:
- Indirect or consequential loss
- Loss of earnings or opportunity
- Decisions made by the Participant following advisory discussions
Our total liability shall not exceed the total fees paid for the relevant engagement.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
10. Force Majeure
We shall not be liable for delay or failure to perform obligations where such delay or failure results from events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- Acts of God
- Government action
- Pandemic or public health emergency
- Internet or telecommunications failure
- Power outage
- Industrial dispute
- Obligations shall be suspended for the duration of such event.
11. Right to Refuse or Terminate
We reserve the right to decline or discontinue services in cases of:
- Conflict of interest
- Inappropriate or abusive behaviour
- Non-payment
- Misrepresentation of information
12. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
